The 5 Podcasts I’m Listening to Right Now

I’m a firm believer that if you want to change your life, you need to change your environment. You need to surround yourself with thoughts, ideas, and people that push you towards growth. We don’t all have an hour each day to stop what we’re doing and sit down to read a book. However, we do have 15 minute increments where we can plug in an earbud while we’re cleaning, or answering emails, or walking the dog.

The reality is, if we’re not actively choosing our thoughts, ideas, and emotions, then we are controlled by them. So, I try to fill up my time with words that inspire me, make me hopeful, or help me grow in some way. Here are the 5 podcasts I’m currently listening to that help me improve the thoughts and ideas that take up space in my head and my life.

  1. On Purpose with Jay Shetty

A former monk, Jay Shetty shares his personal wisdom on how to manage our thoughts, and therefore manage our lives. He also interviews some of the most prominent leaders in almost every sector of the world, including celebrity Kim Kardashian, F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, and psychiatrist and brain disorder specialist Dr. Daniel Amen. What’s different about Jay is that he asks these experts in their various fields not on their achievements, but on their mindset. Ultimately, Jay’s goal is to help his listeners find and live their own purpose. I always take away practical steps to implement in my own life.

2. We Can Do Hard Things with Glennon Doyle, Abby Wambach, and Amanda Doyle

You may know Glennon Doyle as a renowned author of Untamed, Love Warrior, and Carry on Warrior or Abby Wambach as a former U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team captain and one of the leading scorers of all time. She’s also the author of Wolfpack, which offers insights into self-development and leadership. Amanda Doyle is the sister of Glennon, the VP of their all women led nonprofit Together Rising, and a lawyer. Together, these three powerhouses challenge their listeners to slow down, remember what truly matters, and question the systems that govern our world and our lives. They never fail to make me feel safe and seen.

    3. Real Pod by Victoria Garrick Browne

Listening to Victoria is like listening to your bff. Except Victoria is the friend that has realized her dreams while staying genuine at the same time. She is a content creator, professional speaker, and former D1 athlete. She talks about how to heal your relationship with your body, the pressure to be perfect, and how to chase your dreams and find balance. To me, Victoria feels like an older sister who personally understands my struggles and yet keeps me optimistic about what is possible.

      4. The Ed Mylett Show with Ed Mylett

Ed Mylett is an entrepreneur who has invested and built brands in tech, nutrition, and real estate. He now coaches athletes, CEOs, and other leaders and companies on how to elevate their mindset and their lives. On the podcast, he both shares his own insights and leads conversations with other experts in finance, health, spirituality, and relationships. He is my go-to for motivation and how to build habits that lead to growth.

        5. Being Her by Margarita Nazarenko

I got connected with Margarita’s work one day when I researched “feminine energy,” a term that seemingly blew up on the internet overnight. It turns out that the actress, former Miss Universe contestant, and life coach knows a thing or two about relationships. Her calming voice, and yet no nonsense advice, makes me tune into the energy that I am putting out into the world and challenges me to discover different parts of myself.

          Level-up your life.
